May sings her songs of jubilee,
Songs of Springtime showers,
Songs of life and resurrection,
Songs of pain and persecution,
Songs of bursting victory,
Songs of God’s love living,
Songs of you and me.

May sings in quiet moments,
Sings in flowing rivers,
Sings in raging torrents,
Sings in rising majesty,
Sings in nesting bird songs,
Sings in budding flowers,
Sings in you and me.

May sang at God’s creation,
Sang a song of faith,
Sang a song of love’s emotion,
Sang a song of joyful hope,
Sang a song of leaf-clad tree,
Sang a song of teaming ocean,
Sang a song of you and me.

May sings in birth-pangs groaning,
Sings of sighing prayers at night,
Sings in living sacrifice,
Sings of life-blood flowing,
Sings of spirit giving freely,
Sings in lily fragrance,
Sings of you and me.

May sings in celebration
Sings of earth’s rebirth,
Sings in grass beneath us,
Sings in skies above,
Sings of what’s to be,
Sings in God’s pure love,
Sings in you and me.
